Tax Free History
Tax Free system was devised in 1960-s in Sweden to stimulate the consumer goods retail sale.
On the legislative level the tourists were given the same status as exporter-companies that export goods and gained preferential terms for export.
The idea of the Tax Free system was clear enough. Shopping is an important part of travelling, so it should be made as much comfortable and attractive as possible!
Thanks to the introduced Tax Free system in Sweden sales significantly rose because of the increased number of foreign tourists.
Nowadays Tax Free system covers hundreds of trade centres all over the world.
MarkPrior is an operator-company which helps foreign tourists or those on business trips in Russia to refund VAT when making purchases in the RF.
